The Ceará Military Police (PMCE) arrested a 26-year-old man for illegal possession of a firearm, criminal association and resistance. At the time, two firearms and 22 ammunition were seized. The action took place last Saturday (30), in the municipality of Caucaia – Integrated Security Area 11 (AIS 11) of the State.
A team from the 1st Company of the 12th Military Police Battalion (1st Company/12th BPM) was carrying out routine patrolling when they saw people engaging in suspicious activities. Upon noticing the proximity of the military police officers, the suspects fired shots at the composition.
During the incident, a suspect was captured with an injury and two firearms and ammunition were located near the individual. The suspect was taken to a hospital where he was under police escort.
The material was presented to the 2nd Police District (DP), an on-duty unit of the Civil Police of the State of Ceará (PCCE), for appropriate measures. The suspect was charged with illegal possession of a firearm, criminal association and resistance.
