With the increase in dengue cases in several regions of the country, the Union of Cargo Transport and Logistics Companies in Rio Grande do Sul (Setcergs) launched an awareness campaign about preventing the disease in the sector. Setcergs calls on transport companies to take a proactive role in eliminating mosquito-transmitting outbreaks, not only to protect employees, but also to contribute to public health and the well-being of the communities where they operate.

The Setcergs campaign advises on the need to eliminate any container that can accumulate stagnant water, avoid the accumulation of empty bottles, tires, plant pots and buckets, in addition to keeping the environment clean. The use of repellents is also highlighted as an effective measure to keep mosquitoes away from the skin.

To help raise awareness within companies, Setcergs provides educational materials on its communication channels that can be shared by members or printed and disseminated in offices and operational units.
