In an exciting duel full of chances for both sides, CSA and Penedense drew 1-1 this Sunday afternoon (31), at the Rei Pelé Stadium, in Maceió, in the first leg of the final of the Copa Alagoas 2024. Azulão took the lead with a great goal from Tiago Marques in the first half, but Alvirrubro drew in the final stage with Kauã.
The game started with CSA dominating the actions and putting pressure on Penedense. At nine minutes, Azulão opened the scoring with a great goal from Tiago Marques. The attacker received a cross from Ernandes and, with a volley, sent the ball into the corner of the goal, with no chance for goalkeeper Edson.
After the goal, CSA continued to control the game and had good chances to increase the score. In the 20th minute, Lucas Barcelos missed an incredible chance when he shot wide after receiving a cross from Gabriel. In the 35th minute, it was Clayton’s turn to finish over the goal after a good individual play by Yann Rolim.
Penedense made little threat in the first half, but returned to the final stage with a different attitude. At 10 minutes, Alvirrubro tied the game with Kauã. The attacker took advantage of Rafael’s cross and headed it into the back of the net.
The draw encouraged Penedense, who went after CSA in search of a comeback. In the 20th minute, Drey had the chance to score, but shot out after a good play by Léo Campos. In the 35th minute, it was Rafael’s turn to finish over the goal after receiving a cross from Kauã.
CSA held on as best they could in the final minutes and managed to secure a draw. With the result, everything is open for the return game, which will be held this Wednesday (3), at 8 pm, at the Alfredo Leahy Stadium, in Penedo.
