Thief steals pack of cigarettes from patient in front of UBS and loses wallet at the scene

A 53-year-old housewife was robbed by an individual on the morning of Monday, the 29th, in front of the UBS (Basic Health Unit), in Parque Vicente Leporace, in the north of France.

She needs to see a gynecologist. Alone, at around 5 am, she was at the health unit’s entrance to join the queue for appointments. At that moment, an individual approached with an object under a blanket that, according to the woman, looked like a knife. With the victim there was his identity document and a pack of cigarettes. The thief searched the woman’s entire body in search of her cell phone, which she had left at home.

After the housewife pretended that someone was coming with hand gestures, the individual got scared and dropped a wallet in his possession on the floor and ran away from the scene with the pack. The wallet was handed over to the police, who identified that the owner of the wallet had a criminal record.

The woman reports the lack of security in the place for those who have to go very early to the UBS door to get a place for a medical appointment. “It is a danger for people, especially for women who have to arrive early in the morning looking for a place. There is a lack of security,” says the victim.

A police report was registered by the Military Police. The perpetrator of the robbery has not yet been found.
