Gefron seizes 79 tablets of cocaine base paste in a false vehicle compartment and arrests driver

The Special Border Group (Gefron) arrested a driver with 79 tablets of cocaine base paste, this Wednesday (27/03), in the Limão Community, in Cáceres (220 km from Cuiabá). His criminal record stated that he had already been a police officer for the crime of homicide.

The suspect was intercepted by the police team when he was driving a white Fiat Toro pickup truck, heading towards Bolivia – Brazil. During the vehicle search, the team identified a secret compartment in the floor of the truck, where the drug tablets were found, totaling an approximate value of R$1.3 million.

The man was arrested for drug trafficking and taken to the Federal Police Station, with the drugs and the vehicle.

This action by Mato Grosso Public Security takes place within the scope of Operation Protector of Borders and Borders, a continuous and integrated fight against drug trafficking and other crimes on the border between Brazil and Bolivia.

Participating in the task force are the Federal Police, the Brazilian Army, the Border Police Station (Defron), the Civil Police, among other state and federal institutions.
