This Saturday morning (27), the Military Police were called to respond to an incident of feminicide involving a 21-year-old girl in the São Sebastião neighborhood, in the municipality of Ponte Serrada (SC). Upon arrival, the teams found that the victim no longer showed vital signs. The location was immediately isolated to carry out standard procedures in homicide cases, and both the scientific police and the judicial police were summoned to the scene of the crime.
Preliminary information indicates that the victim frequently suffered attacks and threats from his partner, a 32-year-old man, who is the main suspect in the crime. The day before the feminicide, the woman had received audio messages with death threats. The suspect has not yet been located, despite intense searches carried out by the police, with the support of garrisons from the neighboring cities of Xanxerê and Faxinal dos Guedes. They found a possible instrument of crime at the scene: a wrench with blood marks, close to the body of the victim who had head injuries.
The Military Police takes the opportunity to inform that it has the Program CATARINA NETWORK of prevention of domestic and family violence against women, and reiterates the warning that all types of violence against women must be reported.
