The Military Police arrested two men and a woman for the crimes of forming a gang and association for drug trafficking, this Wednesday afternoon (27.08), in Nobres. With the three suspects, the PM seized the amount of R$32,000 in cash, resulting from drug trafficking by a criminal faction.

During extensive patrolling, the team from the 7th PM Battalion found a motorcyclist committing a traffic violation, using his cell phone while riding. The police approached and searched the suspect, locating a bag with R$7,000 in cash.

Questioned by the PM, the man stated that he had taken the money from a woman and that the amount was related to the sale of drugs by a criminal organization. Furthermore, he would be taking the money to another man, who would be responsible for collecting the money from the city’s smoke outlets.

In light of the information received, the police took steps to the residence of the suspect reported by the motorcyclist and caught the man trying to flee the house with a backpack on his back. The suspect was quickly detained. Inside the backpack, the police found the rest of the money, R$25,000 packed in a plastic bag.

When asked, the suspect confirmed the allegations and said that all the money collected from the city would be sent to other members of the criminal faction, who were not identified.

Still during the incident, the military went to the suspect’s residence who gave the amount of R$7,000 to the first man found.

The three suspects were taken to the Nobres Police Station to register the incident and take other measures that the case requires.
