On the afternoon of this Tuesday (23), a 19-year-old girl, resident of Santa Helena, needed to be transferred to the University Hospital (HU) of Cascavel. The patient had been transferred to the HU with suspected leptospirosis about two months ago, but was diagnosed with Lupus.

According to information obtained by Correio do Lago, the young woman was admitted to the Beneficente Moacir Micheletto Hospital on Monday (22), showing symptoms such as dehydration. Due to the severity of her condition, she underwent a series of tests, including a tomography, which pointed to the suspicion of a hemorrhagic stroke.

Given the complex clinical picture, doctors at the hospital decided to transfer the patient to the HU, which has a more suitable structure for treating stroke cases. A SAMU team was called and transported the patient safely.

Previously we erroneously disclosed that the case was leptospirosis, however, according to the Secretary of Health, Dilson Dill, there was a suspicion about 60 days ago, but it was not confirmed, the patient’s case was diagnosed at the time as being lupus .
