Edu Guedes declares himself to Ana Hickmann, and fans speculate marriage and child

A declaration of love from chef and presenter Edu Guedes to his girlfriend, presenter Ana Hickmann, got everyone talking on social media this Wednesday (24/4). The businessman used a suggestive term in the text, which made fans imagine that a baby or a wedding could be coming.

The post was enough to make the couple’s name trending on social media. “Every day I admire you more! Congratulations on the woman, mother, friend that you are, with your determination and perseverance you achieve everything you dream of. I will always be by your side. Soon we will have many important things to live for! With love and affection Edu”, he wrote in the caption of a carousel of photos in which the two appear cuddling together.

It was enough for theories to emerge. “Are they going to have children?”, asked one profile. “I think she’s already pregnant and hasn’t told her yet, I really hope she is”, wished another. “I hope it’s a wedding”, pointed out a third.

Another internet user used part of the lyrics from the song “Anunciação”, by Alceu Valença, to celebrate a possible union, using ring, church and angel emojis. Another profile played too high. “I think she is pregnant and will reveal it on May 18, his birthday. This house in the images is being renovated for people to live in São Paulo,” she wrote.

A year without speaking

In an interview with journalist Leo Dias’ YouTube channel, Edu Guedes said that he spent a year without speaking to Ana Hickmann. “The last time [que a gente tinha conversado] It was in 2022, at a hamburger restaurant owned by Caio Castro, we met, then we didn’t speak again. I remember that day I said ‘Ana, the day you want to record with me in the car, do something different, I’m available’, but we didn’t talk anymore”, he recalled.

After the news broke that Ana Hickmann had been attacked by her ex, Alexandre Correa, the cook tried to contact her, but without success. “I sent a message and to this day she hasn’t responded. I said, ‘Ana, I’m here for whatever you need’, something like that”, he said, revealing the situation, as the presenter later explained that she received a flood of messages at the time.

In December 2023, he asked her sister for Ana’s contact information. It was then that they started talking. The two went out to dinner in mid-December, but only as friends. “There I felt like a friend that I met many years ago in a way that I had never seen in my life, a person who needed support, who you like, care about, with a lot to solve, a lot of problems and still having to manage home, taking care of our children, being on live television every day”, he pointed out.

According to the chef, it was only in January that they began to have a romantic relationship. “We started talking, we felt something different in January, she was going through all this, I had ended a relationship in November, we weren’t sure about everything. Our first concern was about making sure we were going stay together so we can talk”, he said.

Ana Hickmann and Edu Guedes started dating on March 12th. The two deny that there was betrayal in their marriage to Alexandre Correa and claim that they were both single when they became close.
