Second month of escalation to pay for licensing, in May around 62 thousand vehicles with license plates ending in 3, have until the 30th to be up to date with the State Department of Traffic of Mato Grosso do Sul (Detran-MS).
According to the Department, the total number of vehicles totals 62.5 thousand with license plates ending in 3, which must pay a fee of R$219.34, the same value as in 2024 for all types of vehicles.
It is important to highlight that drivers who forget or for some reason miss this month’s deadline will only pay more – R$ 284.70 in this case.
Detran is keen to explain that paying the guide does not necessarily mean that the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate (CRLV) document has been issued.
In a note, the Department emphasizes that there are situations that block the continuity of issuance, for example:
“Have registered an intention to sell or if there is a pending recall. Therefore, it is essential that the owner certify that the CRLV was issued, through the CDT application, if the document is digital, or go to a Detran agency to check it”, he argues in a note.
In addition to having access to in-person service at any Detran branch in Mato Grosso do Sul, drivers looking for practicality can pay fees through self-service, on the My Detran service portal or through the Detran MS application (available for iPhone It is Android devices).
Licensing
An annual and mandatory procedure, carrying the Vehicle Registration and Licensing Certificate is essential when approached by a traffic authority, whether the physical model of the document is printed, or even virtual, through the Digital Traffic Card (CDT).

Any driver who fails to pay, and is caught driving an unlicensed vehicle, commits a very serious infraction.
For traveling with an unlicensed vehicle, article 230 of the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB) provides for the imposition of a fine, seven points on the National Driving License (CNH), and removal of the vehicle.
