Interpreter of Greg in Everybody Hates Chris (2005-2009), Vincent Martella was in Brazil last week to thank the fans for their love for his work in the production. The American fulfilled a schedule of commitments, but stopped giving interviews to some media outlets that did not accept paying for his presence. Igor 3K, presenter of Flow Podcast, spoke about the subject on social media.
Owner of the biggest Brazilian podcast, the presenter said that the actor from Everybody Hates Chris charged a high price to give interviews. The revelation came after an internet user questioned why the celebrity hadn’t gone to Flow. “It’s unlikely to happen. The guy started holding an auction, charging a lot of money to go to the ‘bagulhos’, okay?”, said the communicator.

Igor 3K explained that the podcast does not pay for anyone’s participation and handed over the amount charged by Vincent Martella. “I don’t pay anyone to come here, so it won’t happen”, he guaranteed. According to him, the celebrity’s team asked for $5,000 for his participation, which amounts to R$25,000 at the current price. Despite the revelation, the presenter estimated that perhaps the Everybody Hates Chris actor didn’t even know about this charge. “I don’t even think that’s his thing. It shouldn’t be his thing, but that’s what happened”, he concluded.
Vincent Martella’s arrival in Brazil took place after a post he made on Instagram wearing a t-shirt saying “I’m famous in Brazil”, on March 31st. From then on, the actor, who had 200 thousand followers, skyrocketed to reach 7 million followers on the social network. The intention of some fans was to surpass the number of followers of Tyler James Williams, Chris’s interpreter, who has 2.4 million. Some Brazilians have a tantrum with the protagonist of the series, who has already complained about harassment from fans in the country.
