Recently, Ivete also recalled what the experience of having the twins was like. In addition to the girls, Ivete and Daniel are also parents to Marcelo, 14 years old. “The difficult things I experienced during the girls’ pregnancy…no difficulties at all! But when I gave birth to the girls and picked up the girls, I had difficulty and realized that I needed help. Two…and there was an element that was the longing I had for Marcelo, who was playing in the living room. He was eight years and four months old. I was crazy about the girls, they depended on me and he felt it. I cried because I missed him, I was in the room with the girls and he was in the living room. And he didn’t want to go into the room either because he worried about me,” she said.
Ivete Sangalo also spoke about the day her twins were born with Daniel Cady. “When I gave birth, I left him (Marcelo) sleeping, because the girls signaled at dawn. And I didn’t want to cause alarm because it was due in March (the girls were born on February 10th). The first carnival I didn’t do was when the girls were born. Guys, the fans made masks with my face, all the singers sending messages, it was beautiful. All my colleagues said: she’s not here in the trio, but she’s here at carnival,” she said.
Veveta also talked about reuniting with her son after giving birth to the twins. “Marcelo was at home with my sister sleeping because it was early in the morning. He woke up and his aunt said that I was in the maternity ward. And he found me at about 5:45 on the way back from giving birth and he said: ‘Mom, are you okay?’. And I said: ‘I’m fine, you know what we won?! Two beautiful princesses!’” she said.
