In the plot of Reborn, Joaninha (played by Alice Carvalho) is the wife of Tião Galinha (role of Irandhir Santos) and mother of two children. The family faces several adversities throughout history, going through delicate situations. If the remake follows the same line as the original 1993 version, the suffering will be intensified with the death of the crab catcher.
