Group decides to transform itself into three distinct companies, all listed on the stock exchange and dealing with different properties

Embracer Group, a company that has purchased several game development studios in recent years, has revealed its plans to transform into three separate companies. Each of the companies must deal with different matters, and they are listed individually on the Swedish stock exchange.

According to the company, the intention is that there will be three autonomous publicly traded entities called Asmodee Group, Coffee Stain & Friends and Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends. According to the release for the press and investors, the division would allow each entity to have a better focus on their respective strategies, being able to bring more value to the company’s properties after its restructuring.

What should each company take care of?
Each company will deal with a different type of product, which were previously all mixed together under the Embracer umbrella. The division looked like this:
Asmodee Group
Publisher and distributor of table/board games, with an extensive catalog of intellectual properties, such as Ticket to Ride, Exploding Kittens, Blue It is Catanand a large network of studios.
Coffee Stain & Friends

A diversified company, focusing on indie, A/AA and free games for PC, console and mobile, operating with studios such as Coffee Stain itself, from Goat Simulator It is ValheimGhost Ship Games, by Deep Rock Galactic and Tarsier, from Little Nightmares.
Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends

Company focused on developing and publishing AAA games for PC and consoles, in addition to managing intellectual properties such as Lord of the Rings It is tomb Raider. It will include Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal, 4A Games, Plaion and Deep Silver Dambuster Studios, Tripwire, Flying Wild Hog, Warhorse, Vertigo Games and Freemode.
The current listed Embracer Group will become Middle-earth Enterprises & Friends, while shares in Asmodee Group and Coffee Stain & Friends will be distributed as dividends to the company’s shareholders.
The idea is that the entire restructuring will begin immediately with Middle-earth Enterprises, followed over the next 12 months by Asmodee, and completed by Coffee Stain & Friends in 2025.
