According to new information shared first-hand by the portal The Verge, Microsoft is working on an artificial intelligence assistant for the Xbox.
Artificial intelligence has become quite popular in recent months and nowadays practically anyone can use AI to create texts, images, sounds, videos and much more.
Even large companies are investing heavily in artificial intelligence and in this regard we have Microsoft, which is preparing a virtual chatbot that will provide support and can even make refunds for games.
“We are testing an Xbox Support Virtual Agent, an internal prototype of an animated character that can search for Xbox support topics via voice or text,” says Haiyan Zhang, general manager of gaming AI at Xbox, in a statement to The Verge.
“The prototype makes it easier and faster for gamers to get help with support topics using natural language, pulling information from existing Xbox support pages.”
The focus of the virtual chatbot is mainly to help players with questions and respond practically instantly. For now, data from existing technical support pages is used to obtain information.
At the same time, The Verge claims that Microsoft is also working to bring artificial intelligence capabilities to game content creation, game management, its ecosystem, and Xbox devices. Among the experiments is the creation of NPCs based on neural networks.
