O Coritiba experienced its first defeat in Series B. Coxa lost 1-0 to Sport, on Friday night (3), in the middle of Couto Pereira. The match was valid for the third round of the competition.

The goal of the match was scored by top scorer Gustavo Coutinho, in the 20th minute of the first half, after a pass from Lucas Lima.
The confrontation was also marked by many protests from Coxa fans, who came to display a banner against Treecorp Investimentos, the company responsible for the club’s SAF. Coach Guto Ferreira was also heavily criticized by fans.

- With the defeat, Coritiba remains in seventh place, with four points. Sport takes the lead in Series B, with nine points.
- In the next match, on Saturday (11), at 11am, Alviverde will face Avaí. Sport will play against Brusque on Saturday (11), at 5pm.
