The government of Rio Grande do Sul resumed, on Tuesday (30/4), the dissemination of monitoring of infrastructure services in the State, after the heavy rains that began on Monday (29/4) and which, according to with the weather forecast, they should continue until Friday (3/5).

In addition to updating the water, electricity and telephony supply situation, the bulletins also provide information on total or partial blockages of state highways and the panorama in schools in the State Network.

The data is gathered by the Communication Secretariat, based on information sent by the Environment and Infrastructure, Logistics and Transport, and Education departments.

The announcement takes place twice a day, at 9 am and 6 pm, on the Rio Grande do Sul government website. Monitoring will continue until services are normalized and roads are unblocked.

  • Alive: 18 municipalities without telephone and internet services;
  • Of course: 53 municipalities without telephone and internet services.

Classes suspended throughout the State Network: 2,338 schools.

Highways

The rains that hit the state cause damage and changes in traffic on state highways in Rio Grande do Sul. This Friday (3/5), there are 136 sections on 68 highways with total and partial closures, including roads and bridges, according to the 6pm update. The information is from the Autonomous Department of Highways (Daer), consolidated with the Military Brigade Road Command (CRBM), also covering highways granted and those managed by the Empresa Gaúcha de Rodovias (EGR). The Secretariat of Logistics and Transport (Selt) works to clear the highways as quickly as possible, in order to guarantee vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
