A young Sueny Stefany Lemes Magalhães, 17 years old, who is in the 3rd year of high school in the State Public Education Network, already envisions a professional career in the field of Law to work as a federal judge. She has no shortage of willpower and encouragement, as she studies full-time. With International Education Day approaching, celebrated on Sunday (28), the student believes in education as an opportunity that generates dreams, opens doors and can change lives.

“From my perspective, it is extremely important to receive quality education. This completely changes my worldview and helps me develop my critical sense, in addition to improving my knowledge on different topics”, said Sueny Magalhães, student at the State Center for Full-Time Elementary and Secondary Education (CEEFMTI) Professor José Leão Nunes , which is one of 184 schools offering this type of education in the State Network.

The Full-Time modality, according to the student, makes learning more dynamic. “It is a key turn in an environment where a young teenager, with no plans for the future, begins to develop her life project and understands that she is the protagonist of her own story. It’s where I also study diverse subjects and can develop my individuality and autonomy”, highlighted the student.

In this context of opportunities generated by Education, it is worth remembering the evolution of the Full-Time teaching modality in the State Network with a focus on student training. This year, for example, the State’s Public Education Network reached the mark of 184 Full-Time schools. A significant leap, since 2019, with the creation of 152 new schools by the State Government.

Sedu’s Full-Time Education Manager, Mayara Lima Cândido, highlighted that this teaching modality is an effective strategy for expanding students’ learning and development opportunities. “By providing a more complete and comprehensive educational environment, with diversified curricular activities, academic and social support, this modality creates the ideal conditions for young people to explore their interests, acquire essential skills and build a solid life project, preparing them to face the challenges of the modern world with confidence and necessary skills”, he pointed out.
