Another day to be forgotten by Mercedes. In Sprint qualifying for the Formula 1 Miami GP, both drivers were eliminated in Q2, and Lewis Hamilton was not at all satisfied with the result.

By less than a tenth, both Mercedes drivers were left out of Q2. George Russell and Lewis Hamilton finished 11th and 12th respectively. Over the team radio, Hamilton said there wasn’t much else to get out of the car.

After the checkered flag, Hamilton expressed his opinion over the team radio. “I have nothing, man…” said the Brit. His engineer was unable to console his pilot. “Yes Lewis, yes, we were eliminated.”

Hamilton’s frustration was evident after the session. Mercedes has struggled to keep up with Red Bull and Ferrari this season, and their Q2 elimination in the Sprint classification was another blow for the team. It remains to be seen whether Mercedes will be able to recover for the GP on Sunday.
