Now it’s official. Ultimate announced, this Wednesday morning (24), UFC 304, which marks the organization’s return to the city of Manchester, England, on July 27. The announcement was made through a post on UFC’s social media.
“It’s officially official. Manchester, we are coming for you”, says the publication.
No fight has been announced so far, but the tendency is for the event to feature the first defense of the interim belt. Tom Aspinall in heavy weights (up to 120.2 kg). The champion himself guaranteed his presence on the card, although he still has no defined opponent.
Another practically guaranteed presence is that of Leon Edwards, welterweight champion (up to 77.1 kg). The coach of the British-born Jamaican confirmed that his pupil will be at the event and indicated Belal Muhammad as the most likely challenger for the belt.
UFC 304 marks the organization’s fifth event in Manchester. The last visit to the city took place in 2016, when Michael Bisping took revenge for the defeat suffered against Dan Henderson and defended the middleweight belt (up to 83.9 kg) against his rival at UFC 204 in front of an audience of 16 thousand people.
