In the first half, there was only Hurricane. Canobbio and Pablo sent it out in the first minutes. Then, Erick headed the ball against the post. At 10 minutes, Hugo Moura, ex-Athletico, was sent off after bringing down Zapelli, being the last man on the Cruzmaltino team.

From the free kick, almost on the edge of the penalty area, Pablo hit the crossbar. Then, another ball hit the post, but from an attempt by Kaique Rocha. After insisting so much, Furacão reached the goal with Erick after a cross from Esquivel, in the 25th minute. Cuca’s team continued to press, and Erick himself had chances to increase.

If the post was the protagonist in the first half, in the second half it prevented a great goal from Zapelli right at the beginning. Hurricane slowed down, but still created the best chances. Nikão, who returned to play at the Ligga Arena, finished wide. Vasco equalized, but Vegetti was offside.

  • Athletico took the lead with 10 points, but could be overtaken in the event of a victory or draw for Botafogo, who face Bahia, at 6:30 pm.
  • Furacão returns to the field against Rayo Zuliano on Wednesday (8), at 7pm, in Venezuela
