Carlos De Pena, 32 years old, is no longer an Internacional player. The Uruguayan terminated his contract in the last few hours.

Until then, De Pena received R$400,000 a month here in Beira-Rio. I don’t have information on how the arrangement was made. It is possible that they will have to continue paying at least part of the contract, which would run until the end of this year.

After De Pena, the next to leave is midfielder Gabriel. However, the player himself recently said on his Instagram that he has nothing set to leave yet and continues training at CT. The Los Angeles Galaxy, from the United States, was the club most mentioned to him. It was never confirmed. If it succeeds, R$500,000 will be released from the payroll.

From now on, the April window will only be open in the Brazilian market. The CBF made this exception thinking about the players who compete in the state championships. They will be able to move to other clubs until the 19th.

At Inter, this will apply to Fabrício, from Nova Iguaçu, who will arrive next week, after the Carioca final.

And now for De Pena. The tendency is for him to go to another Brazilian club. I even recently heard about him in Bahia, but I haven’t confirmed it. Corinthians and Vasco have also speculated on his name.

  • We still have to see what the termination agreements will be like, but the departures of Gabriel and De Pena could mean up to R$900,000 less on the payroll. R$500 thousand from Gabriel and R$400 thousand from De Pena.
