Ameliano 1 x 4 Athletico: Result and goals

With peace of mind, the Athletico thrashed Sportivo Ameliano 4-1 on Tuesday night (2), at the Nueva Olla Stadium, in Asunción, Paraguay, in the first round of the 2024 South American Championship. Furacão scored with Mastriani, twice, Zapelli and Fernandinho . The Paraguayans took advantage of Fredy Vera.

Furacão played the first half almost at a training pace. After just five minutes, Mastriani opened the scoring. The goal made the team lower their intensity and give Ameliano space. And, after a defensive error, striker Vera tied the match. Naturally, Athletico once again controlled the match and scored two more with Zapelli and Fernandinho.

In the second half, Mastriani scored one more and completed the red-and-black victory. With the result defined, Cuca took the opportunity to rest players and test, for example, foreigners who had not played under his command, such as strikers Benítez and Di Yorio.

• With the victory, Furacão leads Group E of the South American Championship. The next match of the tournament will be against Rayo Zuliano on Tuesday (9), at 9:30 pm, at the Ligga Arena.
