A Real Madrid legend, Marcelo is living the final chapter of his career at Fluminense, the same club where he took his first steps in football. In a recent interview with Podpah, the left-back listed the 11 best players he played with in his 20-year career.
Among those chosen is the owner of SAF and Cruzeiro idol, Ronaldo Fenômeno. At his side, a team that mixes former Brazilian and Real Madrid players. And on the bench, Fernando Diniz, from Fluminense, as Zinédine Zidane’s technical assistant.

Marcelo’s career
In addition to Tricolor Carioca and the meringues, Marcelo wore the shirt of Olympiacos, from Greece. Between 2006 and 2018, he also played for the Seleção in 58 games.
Marcelo participated in the 2014 World Cups in Brazil and 2018 in Russia. With Real, he won five Champions Leagues (2013-14, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2021-22) and six La Ligas (2006-07, 2007-08, 2011-12, 2016-17, 2019-20 and 2021-22), in addition to other titles.
With Flu, Marcelo won the 2023 Libertadores, the 2024 Recopa Sul-Americana and the 2005 and 2023 Carioca Championships.
