Kevin Magnussen somewhat lowered the expectations of fans who would like to see Oliver Bearman at Haas in the 2025 Formula 1 season. The Danish driver believes that the American team benefits more from experienced drivers, even praising the young Brit’s performance in Saudi Arabia .

Bearman impressed on his Formula 1 debut, replacing Carlos Sainz at Ferrari and taking a surprising seventh place. He had already tested with Haas in 2023 and is expected to complete another six free practices this season, fueling rumors of a possible promotion.

However, Magnussen highlighted the importance of experience for Haas, which has been achieving good results at the start of the current season. “It’s useful to have experienced drivers,” said the Dane, when asked about Bearman’s possible arrival.

Even recognizing the talent of the young driver, Magnussen highlighted the good relationship he has with Nico Hulkenberg in the team. “We have a great team dynamic and we are working very well together. I think experience is important in our current journey,” he added.

Hulkenberg, Magnussen’s teammate, also warned Bearman about the need for good results in Formula 2 to stay on Haas’ radar. “He has a big challenge ahead of him in F2 first. If he doesn’t do well there, this race in Saudi Arabia will be forgotten in two days,” said the German.
