Netflix releases first images and teaser of the miniseries ‘Senna’, starring Gabriel Leone | Television

Rio – Netflix released, this Tuesday, the teaser and the first images of “Senna”, a fictional miniseries inspired by the life story of Ayrton Senna, who died in 1994, and caused a huge stir among internet users. In the super production, which premieres later this year, Gabriel Leone brings the Formula 1 driver to life.

With narration that recreates Galvão Bueno’s historic speeches and Ayrton Senna’s victory cry at Interlagos in 1991, the first images of ‘Senna’ relive the epic moment of F1 after the driver won his first race in Brazil with just sixth gear .

The video also reveals the possible thoughts and memories that made Ayrton get there. Characters with whom the driver lived that year are also present, including Xuxa (Pâmela Tomé), Alain Prost (Matt Mella) and McLaren’s team principal, Ron Dennis (Patrick Kennedy), as well as Galvão himself (Gabriel Louchard).

Internet users, of course, reacted to the teaser. “We’re looking forward to it,” commented a user on X, formerly Twitter. “I’m already emotional. I only watched Formula 1 to see Ayrton Senna. After he died, I no longer saw any point in watching Formula 1. He was the best in the world”, said another. “Gabriel’s (Leone) characterization was excellent,” said a third person.

Over six episodes, “Senna” will show, for the first time, Ayrton’s journey of overcoming, disagreements, joys and sadness, exploring his personality and personal relationships. The starting point is the beginning of the three-time Formula 1 champion’s racing career, when he moves to England to compete in Formula Ford, and continues until the tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino GP.

The miniseries also stars Alice Wegmann (Lilian, Ayrton’s first wife), Camila Márdila (Vivianne Senna, his sister), Christian Malheiros (Maurinho, friend of the pilot), Gabriel Louchard (Galvão Bueno), Hugo Bonemer (Nelson Piquet ), Julia Foti (Adriane Galisteu), Marco Ricca (Maurão, Ayrton’s father), Nicolas Cruz (Leonardo, his brother), Rodrigo Veloso (Flávio, brother-in-law), Susana Ribeiro (Zaza, Ayrton’s mother), among others.
