247 – Former football player Daniel Alves, after being released on bail of almost R$5.5 million, left Brians 2 prison in Barcelona last Monday, marking the end of his imprisonment since January 2023 due to his conviction for rape against a 23-year-old girl that occurred in a nightclub in Barcelona, in 2022.
Returning home to Esplugues de Llobregat shortly after his release, Alves and his family began the celebrations with dinner at a restaurant on Tuesday, honoring Domingos Alves da Silva, his father, without the player initially present. The festivities were transferred to the player’s residence, where the birthday celebration continued until the early hours of Wednesday, as reported by journalists from the program “Así es la vida”, on the Telecinco channel. He also reportedly received “hooded friends”.

The player’s release came after the Barcelona Court granted his lawyers’ request for freedom five days earlier, accompanied by strict conditions, including the retention of his Spanish and Brazilian passports, mandatory weekly court appearances, ban on leaving the country, and restrictions on contact or proximity to the victim.
In February this year, Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison, in addition to compensation of more than R$800,000 to the victim.
