Rossi’s second spell at Vasco is nearing an end. The attacker, who did not play in the two semi-final matches of the Campeonato Carioca, against Nova Iguaçumust terminate his contract in the next few days to settle with Santos.
The talks are advanced, as published by the website ‘Goal’ and confirmed by the report from O Dia. Santos coach, Fábio Carille, has even spoken to Rossi to show that they count on him to compete in Series B.
Although Vasco’s technical committee had the striker, they were not opposed to releasing him. He has a contract with SAF Vasco until December 2024.
In addition to Santos, the Goiás also showed interest in hiring Rossiwho became more interested in the São Paulo club.
After playing for Vasco in 2019, the attacker returned in the middle of 2023 and was important in some moments of the push to escape relegation from the Brasileirão. Nonetheless, suffered from physical problems which left him out of many matches.
