After defeating the Polish Iga Swiatek, number 1 in the world, on Monday in the round of 16 and the American Jessica Pegula, fifth placed, in the quarterfinals, Ekaterina Alexandrova achieved incredible statistics against tennis players from the top 10.

She now has at least one win against every player in the current top 10.

Against Pegula it was the first in two games, against Iga it was two, against Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka it was three in six games. Against Latvian Jelena Ostapenko there are five out of ten matches. She could have one more top 10 finish before an eventual title winner, Kazakh Elena Rybakina, who won three of her four matches.

Alexandrova is currently in 15th place with 2650 points. If she reaches the final, she would reach 2910 and defeat Brazilian Bia Haddad Maia, becoming 13th. She can reach a maximum of 11th place if she wins the title this week.
