The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) also issued a warning for rain on Sunday morning. Until noon, rainfall of up to 30 mm/h and intense winds of between 40 and 60 km/h are expected.

The instability occurs due to a cold front coming from Rio Grande do Sul, which should position itself on the border with Santa Catarina throughout Sunday. In the neighboring state, last Saturday (27), rain accompanied by wind and hail left thousands of people without electricity.
