Brazilians ‘want the truth’, says Musk, about Twitter/X being the most downloaded in the country

The owner of Twitter/X, Elon Musk, stated that Brazilians want to know the truth. He made the statement on Thursday 25th, when commenting on a publication about the number of users of the social network in Brazil.

According to the profile CB Doge, author of the post answered by Elon Musk, Twitter/X is the most downloaded in Brazil on Apple iOS devices. It leads both the free and paid categories.

Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), determined, earlier this month, the inclusion of Elon Musk as being investigated in the digital militias investigation.

The minister also opened a new investigation to investigate Elon Musk’s conduct. The judge wants an alleged crime of obstruction of justice to be investigated, “including a criminal organization and incitement to crime”.

According to the AGU, in a letter obtained by Westyou documents released by American journalist Michael Shellenberger “appear to reproduce excerpts of content from confidential judicial decisions handed down by the Brazilian Judiciary, especially from the report of Minister Alexandre de Moraes, both in his work at the STF and at the Superior Electoral Court (TSE)”.

In this way, Jorge Messias understood that it was relevant to describe what he saw as abuse. Regarding the case itself, the AGU framed it in “a scenario, in which an attempt to destabilize the Democratic State established by the Constitution is perceived, based on the publication of confidential documents drawn up in processes being processed by the STF and the TSE”.

According to Jorge Messias, the disclosure of the content, without a court order, “compromises the ongoing investigations both in this Supreme Court and in the TSE regarding undemocratic conduct occurring in Brazil”.
