During the morning of this Tuesday (26th) the PF (Federal Police) carried out operation Negative Frequency II, which seeks to combat crime linked to the clandestine development of radio activity. Search and seizure warrants were executed in Campinas (SP) and Indaiatuba (SP). The stations were closed and the operation ended with two being arrested red-handed.
This was the second phase of the action. The first was held last Januarywhen signals were found to be interfering in the frequency band used for communication between flight controllers and pilots at Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP).
One of the stations located this morning (26) was in the Chácara Recanto da Colina Verde neighborhood, in Campinas (SP). In the neighboring municipality of Indaiatuba (SP), agents carried out two search and seizure warrants in the Morada do Sol garden.

According to the PF, the warrants originated after investigations that began to be carried out last year. These investigations are part of a task force constituted by the Federal Police, MP (Public Ministry) and Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency) that seeks to repress clandestine broadcasting activity.
Clandestine telecommunications activity is a crime provided for in Law 9,472/97, article 183, with a prison sentence of two to four years, increased by half if there is damage to third parties, in addition to a fine of R$10,000. The Penal Code also provides for the crime in its article 336.
