The story connects to the book Saga Indômita de Zeca Vaccariano: Far Além do Assalto ao Trem Pagador by the writer and filmmaker Ernoy Luiz Mattiello, which rescues the famous attack against the paying group, which occurred in 1909, during railway construction.

The launch event for the works takes place on Friday, May 10, at the Padre Trudo Plessers auditorium, in Pinheiro Preto – SC.

The documentary features interviews with several retired railway workers, experts on the subject, as well as moving testimonies from characters whose lives were marked by the railway’s steel paths. Striking stories, connected by original photos from the time and cinematographic images, recreate in detail the ambience experienced during the period of great transformations led by the train.
Literary production, on the other hand, is the result of in-depth research, anchored in official documents, expressive references and oral hearings, housed in a Master’s degree project in History, at the Federal University of Fronteira Sul – (UFF) by filmmaker Ernoy Mattiello, who is also the signs the script for the documentary directed by Júnior Padilha.
The production with locations in the three southern states and the interior of São Paulo reveals striking details ranging from the construction of the railway, to the period of industrial development, the colonization of the Peixe River Valley and the railway decline in the interior of Santa Catarina.
The city of Pinheiro Preto – SC, stands out in literary work for having been the stage for the Assalto ao Trem Pagador, carried out by José Antônio de Oliveira, known as Zeca Vaccariano, in 1909, who after being acquitted of the charges, became a police delegate. police in Mondaí – SC.
