Forum “All for Inclusion” receives around a thousand people in Floriano

The Regional Forum on Public Policies for People with Disabilities – “All for Inclusion” is already part of the action calendar of the Secretariat for Inclusion of People with Disabilities (Seid). And the edition held this Friday (3), in the city of Floriano, has stood out for its great public participation.

Promoted by the Government of Piauí, through Seid and the State Council for the Defense of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (Conede-PI), the “All for Inclusion” Forum had around a thousand registrants and met at the State Center for Professional Education ( Ceep) Calisto Lôbo, various entities, authorities, public bodies and private institutions, with the purpose of expanding the dialogue about inclusion policies in Piauí.

According to Seid’s secretary, Mauro Eduardo, the Forum fulfilled its role successfully, as it managed to cover the population of the entire territory of the Piauí and Itaueira River Valley. “It was a very important and remarkable moment, as we had active participation from the population. We had the presence of more than 50 municipalities and the feeling that remains is of accomplishment”, highlights the manager.

With the aim of decentralizing services and providing guidance to the population, the Forum is also an opportunity for society to recognize the rights of people with disabilities, as highlighted by Ana Zélia de Sousa, a participant in the event. “We know how important a day like today is. An action like this is very welcome, as it helps the entire population to become aware that people with disabilities are normal people and deserve respect”, emphasizes Ana.

The Forum’s program continues throughout today’s afternoon (3) and Saturday morning (4), with lectures and debates on subjects such as: health, education, employability, transport, social assistance and others.

Later this year, the event will also be held in the municipalities of Campo Maior and Oeiras.
