Of the 135 dams monitored by the Executive State Water Management Agency (Aesa), 29 are bleeding, that is, with a volume above capacity. The result is a reflection of the rain recorded in some areas of the state in recent weeks.

The reservoirs of Araçagi, Camalaú, São Gonçalo, Carneiro, Poções, Piranhas, Bartolomeu I, Cachoeira dos Alves, Cacimba de Várzea, Vazante, Tavares II, Video, Paraíso (Luiz Oliveira), Pedra Lisa, Pirpirituba, Cochos, São José I, Pitombeira, Emas, Chã dos Pereiras, Glória, São José II, Olho dÁgua, Novo II, Jangada, Cachoeira da Vaca, Bom Jesus, Cafundó and Pimenta.

Another 71 reservoirs have a capacity greater than 20% of their total volume. According to Aesa, the Epitácio Pessoa dam, located in the city of Boqueirão, is at 61.89% of capacity, in monitoring carried out this Wednesday (1).

Contrary to this situation, another 20 reservoirs are under observation, which represents a volume of less than 20% of the total. Furthermore, 15 dams are in critical condition, less than 5% of the total volume.
