Garbage collector attacks dog in Rio do Sul, SC

A garbage collector attacked a dog while working in Rio do Sul, in Vale do Itajaí, Santa Catarina. The professional worked for an outsourced company and was dismissed, according to the city hall. The dog is fine.

The attack occurred on Wednesday night (24) and was captured on a home security camera. (look above).

In the images, you can see the truck. Shortly thereafter, the dog passes by and the collector attacks him with a garbage bag. The dog screams and runs away after being hit, while the professional continues his work.

Rio do Sul City Hall spoke in a note, saying that it made a series of requests to the outsourced company that hired the collector.

The municipality asked that the worker be laid off, which has already occurred, according to information the company provided to the city hall.

In another request, the municipality requested data from the professional, so that an infraction report could be drawn up for the aggression. The document will be forwarded to the Public Ministry of Santa Catarina (MPSC) so that action can be taken in the criminal sphere.

Finally, he asked that the dog’s owner be reimbursed for the costs of recovering the animal.
