Italo Ferreira auctioned off boards he used in competitions and joined fellow surfers Pedro Scooby and Lucas Chumbo last Wednesday (8) in rescues in Rio Grande do Sul.
Italo auctioned 17 boards and managed to raise more than R$100,000 in just one hour. The Brazilian surfer intends to auction more and informed that he will also supplement the resources from his own pocket. Ferreira made more jet-skis and 4×4 cars available to help with rescues.

“I’m already in the South with friends and we’re going to drive to the most affected areas to join the rescue teams who have been working intensely for a few days to help people,” says Italo on his social networks.
“I sold I think 17 boards and I’ll probably sell a few more so we can help. I’m also going to put more money out of my pocket so we can reach as many people as possible. We got jet skis, more cars, in other words, let’s do it”, he adds.
Pedro Scooby and Lucas Chumbo brought together a group of big riders to help in the South. They also assembled a team of doctors, veterinarians, social workers and volunteers to assist people.
