Zeekr, a Chinese brand that belongs to Volvo’s Geely group, has already confirmed the arrival in Brazil with the SUV 001. But another medium SUVcalled X, should also disembark here – and to fight with BMW and Porsche. The model has already appeared in tests on Brazilian streets and now, Autosport had the opportunity to see the SUV during the Beijing Auto Show, in China.
Starting with the design, this one certainly draws attention due to the lgeometric lines and different shapes. The Zeekr X’s lanterns and headlights were still designed with creases. All lighting is done by LEDs.
The doors do not have a frame on the windows, which is a difference compared to SUVs currently sold in Brazil. Furthermore, the door handles are unusual and fit into the bodywork. At the rear, a bar with the inscription “Zeekr” joins the headlights, which still appear on the side of the SUV. The wheels are 20 inches.

Other than that, it is 4.43 meters long, 2.03 m wide, 1.57 m high and has a wheelbase of 2.75 meters. This last dimension guarantees a very reasonable internal space for passengers. The trunk has a capacity of 362 liters, the same as a Volkswagen T-Cross.
O interior is completely minimalist and there are only two buttons on the steering wheel. The remaining controls are made by the 14.6-inch multimedia center. The instrument panel is 8.8 inches. Furthermore, the center console is open and, therefore, the gear selector was positioned behind the steering wheel.
Just like 001, the Zeekr X has two different engines. The Chinese brand has not yet confirmed whether both will be sold in Brazil. The entry-level option offers only an electric motor, with rear-wheel drive and 272 horsepower. In this way, it takes 5.6 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h and the 69 kWh batteries guarantee autonomy of 400 km in the WLTP cycle.
When a second electric motor is added to the front axle, the power reaches 428 hp combined, ensuring better performance. It takes 3.8 seconds to reach 100 km/h. The number is just 0.1 s slower than that of a Porsche 911 Carrera S, for example. The battery, which has the same capacity, now offers 446 km of autonomyalso according to the WLTP cycle.
In China, the Zeekr X costs up to 220 thousand yuan. In direct conversion, the value is equivalent to R$157 thousand. The brand’s objective is to position itself in a segment above BYD, seeking a more premium range of customers.
