Cultura Reggae Alagoas is pleased to announce Celebra Reggae Alagoas, a celebration built by the Reggae movement, Cena Artística and Technicians in commemoration of National and State Reggae Day.

The event, which takes place on May 11th, starting at 2pm, at Quintal Cultural, promises to be a milestone in the Alagoas cultural scene, bringing together more than 30 artists and bands that are references in reggae music both in the capital and in some other municipalities such as Barra de São Miguel, Marechal Deodoro, Arapiraca and Delmiro Gouveia.

Celebra Reggae Alagoas is a cultural production that promotes and strengthens the exchange of reggae bands and artists from different generations and records in the annual calendar the celebration and reflection of the National and State Reggae Day, the date was established in the national calendar to honor Jamaican singer and songwriter Bob Marley, who died at the age of 36, on May 11, 1981, in the United States. The artist was responsible for spreading the rhythm around the world.

The Event is a realization of the Coletivo Cultura Reggae Alagoas, which is made up of artists, producers, technicians in general and aims to organize, mobilize and make Reggae Alagoas heritage, in addition to mapping and vectorizing the technical production and artistic chains of the local scene. through projects, training workshops, dialogue circles, actions in cultural territories and enhancing communication through social networks and press relations. The Collective strengthens the dialogue between the languages ​​contained in the reggae segment: crafts, music, dance, collectors, communicators and researchers.

The Co-Realization is from Quintal Cultural, a partner institute with decades of experience in peripheral culture, it is a Ponto de cultura that has worked and works with various production and creative chains from Teatro do Oprimido, Hip-Hop, Coco de Roda, Music, Audiovisual, Capoeira and produces the Bloco do Bobo heritage of the peripheral street culture of the Maceió carnival, the institute is a founding member of the movement of the peoples of the lagoons that brings together in a network dozens of institutions that operate in the Mundaú and Manguaba lagoons in safeguarding territories and producers of culture.
