O government of the Federal District should to hire 2 thousand civil and military police officers and military firefighters. The first stage of hiring should take place from June this year, said the Secretary of Economy, Ney Ferraz Júnior, and vice-governor Celina Leão (PP).

“We are taking advantage of a amendment to the Complementary Law Project (PLN) 12 of aid for Rio Grande do Sul and DPvat”, said Ney Ferraz Júnior. In this proposal, which was approved by party leaders, it will be possible to hire 1.2 military police officers, 90 firefighters and 800 civil police officers.
The appointment of candidates already approved in competitions will take place due to an amendment to the Union Budget and which was presented today (08) at the Joint Budget Committee.
The proposal has the support from the federal bench (8 deputies and three senators). “It was a victory,” said Celina. “Our gratitude to the parliamentarians”, she stated in this statement.
Celina and the secretary were at the CMO in the morning and in the afternoon they circulated around the National Congress to reinforce political articulation. District deputy João Hermeto (MDB) was also in the Chamber.
A Commander of the Military Police, Colonel Ana Paula, thanked Senator Izalci Lucas for their support so that the corporation has this reinforcement. “Yes, we are experiencing this crisis in the corporation.”
