Espírito Santo will receive, in the second half of 2024, the first laboratory specialized in electric mobility in Brazil. The investment to implement the unit will exceed R$1 million. Comexport will be responsible for setting up the laboratory, while manufacturers of electric vehicles, such as BYD and GWM, electric mobility systems and auto parts will supply cars, parts and pieces to equip the facilities of the National Industrial Learning Service (Senai-ES) .

The structure created at Senai Espírito Santo will offer qualification and training to professionals across the country, related to movement, charging, storage, use, maintenance and rework on hybrid and electric vehicles, their systems and batteries.

The cooperation agreement was signed by the vice-governor and Secretary of State for Development, Ricardo Ferraço, the president of Comexport, Alan Goldlust, the Commercial vice-president of Comexport, Rodrigo Teixeira, and the president of GWM Latin America and Region, James Yang .

“Here in China we confirm this news. A joint investment in human capital, in the training and qualification of people to evolve in the job market. Espírito Santo already stands out in the import, nationalization and distribution of hybrid and electric vehicles, being the main port of entry from Brazil. We combine Senai’s expertise and the interest of companies as it is a new technology that is rapidly expanding in use in the country”, highlights Ricardo Ferraço.

Expected to begin operations in the second half of 2024, the laboratory of excellence in the government sphere will qualify public sector professionals, such as military firefighters, police forces, among other security and technology agents.

Another brand will be imported by ES

With operations in 39 countries, including Chile and Mexico, the Chinese company GAC Motor, which recently presented the world with an electric vehicle with 1,000 horsepower, could be the next manufacturer to bring import operations to Espírito Santo.

At the meeting with the Espírito Santo business mission, the general manager of GAC, Wei Haigang, confirmed a visit to the State for May.
