The new stage of the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program (MCMV) in Rio Grande do Norte will guarantee the construction of 3,872 houses in urban and rural entities, covering 16 urban and 49 rural projects, in 62 municipalities in all regions. In a ceremony held this Friday (26), the State Government presented the first stage of this new phase of the MCMV.

“After a long period without investment, today we have a day of achievement and joy for another step in the fight for decent housing for those who need it most in RN. There were four years of abandonment in the previous Federal Government administration that did not meet popular demands. And today we resume an important citizenship policy”, stated governor Fátima Bezerra.

Initially there would be 933 housing units, but, after coordination between the state government and the federal government, the number was almost quadrupled and the units will benefit more than 15.5 thousand people in RN.
The Program aims to offer decent housing for the urban population and also for family farmers, indigenous peoples, members of remaining communities of rural quilombos and other traditional peoples and communities.
