The State, which had not yet been included, will receive 126,132 doses to be applied in six municipalities. They are Porto Alegre, which will receive 72,898, Viamão, with 14,982, Alvorada, with 12,985, Gravataí, which will receive 16,425 doses, Cachoeirinha, 8,379 and Glorinha, with 463 doses. According to the technical note from the Ministry of Health, the new shipment aims to expand coverage to 625 new municipalities across the country, in addition to continuing immunization in cities that were on the previous lists and that need to complete the vaccination schedule.

The Ministry of Health highlighted that the distribution of doses was determined based on three main criteria: the ranking of health regions and municipalities, the necessary quantity of doses according to availability (predicted by the manufacturer) and the calculation of the total doses to be delivered in a single shipment to the municipality.

According to the ministry’s note, the doses intended for application of the second dose will be sent later, considering the recommended interval of three months to complete the vaccination schedule.
