The Federal Police (PF) reestablished the online passport issuance scheduling service online this Wednesday (24). The service had been suspended on Thursday (18), after the institution detected an attempted invasion of the computer network environment.ebc.gif?id=1592229&o=node

In a note, the PF informed that it updated the system, reestablishing the service, after the days of suspension. During this period, the PF ensured that appointments previously scheduled at a unit issuing the travel document were carried out normally on the scheduled date and time.

The schedule to begin the procedures for issuing the travel document can be requested on the Federal Police Passport Division page.

On the PF website, a notice alerts anyone who has difficulty accessing the form, even after the official return of service, that they can seek help from the page’s support.

Scheduling

Before going to a Federal Police station, citizens must make a virtual appointment in advance. In the online service, the applicant must fill out the electronic form, with personal data, choose one of the available dates and times and, finally, select the PF service point where they wish to be served.

On the scheduled day, time and place, the applicant must present the necessary original documentation and the public attendant will check the information initially registered, in addition to collecting biometric data – fingerprints and facial photography.

Passport delivery will take place at the same unit indicated in the first online booking of the service and cannot be modified.

After the in-person service, the document can be collected within 6 to 10 business days, up to 90 calendar days. After this maximum period, the undelivered document will be canceled, with total loss of the fee paid.

The cost to issue a common passport is R$257.25. The amount may be increased if there is an urgent need to issue the document or if it is a reprint of a lost or lost passport, which is still valid.
