To allow the regularization of taxpayers in Mato Grosso do Sul who are in arrears with the payment of IPVA (Motor Vehicle Property Tax), the Government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul allows the payment of debts, referring to previous years, in installments. up to ten times.
The installment of IPVA debts refers to unpaid installments (of the automatic installments offered by the State annually, in five installments). With this, taxpayers can pay off the debt relating to last year’s tax and previous years.
The decree that allows the benefit to the taxpayer, was published today (24) in the Official State Gazette, and provides that the value of the installments, at the time of requesting the installment, cannot be less than the equivalent of 1.45 UFERMS (State Fiscal Unit of Reference of Mato Grosso do Sul).
The measure provides that from now on, motorcycles and other vehicles will follow the same rule regarding the minimum value, which this April is R$70.21.
Another change foreseen in the decree is that the payment of the first installment must be made on the date the request is formalized – and no longer on a date defined by the taxpayer.
