Businessman Rafael Tenório, also an alternate in the Senate and former president of the CSA, issued a warning this Friday (3) about the growing addiction to gambling and online casinos in society. He highlighted the concern after observing the situation among employees at his enterprises.

According to Tenório, several employees began to request advance vacations, thirteenth salary and loans, which caught the attention of the companies’ management.

After analysis by the human resources sector, it was found that 90% of the employees involved in these requests were linked to electronic games, which are promoted by digital influencers, often for high fees.

Tenório reported his own experience when asking an employee to place a R$20 bet on an electronic game on the ‘Tigrinho’ platform. He followed the bet, which resulted in him losing the money in just 1 minute and 15 seconds.

“To give you an idea, I don’t play, but I asked one of my employees to put 20 reais in credit and make this electronic game, on a platform called ‘Tigrinho’. And I followed the bets and he lost the money in 1 minute and 15 seconds.”

The businessman emphasized that society is facing a “silent epidemic”, where gaming addiction is damaging the quality of life and even impacting the ability to work and eat adequately. He called for immediate action from authorities to tackle this growing problem.

But, after all, what is the ‘little tiger game’?

The “tigrinho game” is a famous online casino that promises fabulous winnings. In practice, the objective is for the player to make a combination of three identical figures in the three rows that appear on the screen.

As the game is not developed by bookmakers, it may appear on more than one website, generally within categories such as “online casino”, which is prohibited in Brazil.

In Brazil, “Fortune Tiger” became famous mainly due to the extensive campaign that included many digital influencers and players who share their tactics to do well.
