Four days before the deadline, Rio Branco voters can settle their disputes with the Electoral Court in a joint effort by the Regional Electoral Court (TRE) set up at the Sesc Gymnasium, in Bosque, in Rio Branco. The deadline for obtaining the first copy of the title, among other services, ends on Wednesday (8).

The joint effort began last Wednesday (1st) and continues until next Wednesday (8th), with services including this Saturday (4) and Sunday (5) from 8am to 5pm. The coordinator of the task force, Adenilson Pontes, highlighted that young people, aged 16 and 17, have been the largest audience seeking services.

“Our biggest demand, so far, has been for young people to get their first title so they can vote in the elections. We are serving all voters and providing all services, including biometric collection. Anyone who has any pending issues has missed an election , you have a fine, with your title canceled you can look for us here at the Ginásio do Sesc Bosque”, he confirmed.

In Acre, it is possible to find out if there is any pending issue on the title on the TRE-AC website.

The services available in the space are:

  • Issuance of the 1st title
  • Revision
  • Transfer of electoral domicile
  • Dispatch of the 2nd copy
  • Payment of fine
  • Registration update

To the This year’s elections are scheduled for October 6th. A possible second round is scheduled for the 27th of the same month, in cities with more than 200 thousand voters. Mayors and councilors from more than 5,500 municipalities across the country will be chosen. In Acre, around 590 thousand voters are eligible to vote.

In municipal elections, there is no voting in transit. In other words, anyone who is in a city other than their electoral domicile cannot participate in the vote and will have to justify their absence. This procedure can be done via e-Título, app of the Electoral Court, via the TSE website or at electoral offices.

According to the coordinator, only in the On the first day, 444 people were servedalready in Thursday (2) there were 488 It is 798 this Friday (3)totalizing 1,730 people. “We want to highlight that young people who are 15 years old and will turn 16 before the elections can obtain their voter registration card. In previous years we did not have this number of young people looking for assistance”, he stressed.

In addition to the assistance, voters can also participate in a simulation of what voting is like. The director of the Acre Electoral Court (TRE-AC), Rosana Magalhães, said that the idea is to show new voters and remind older voters how the equipment works.

“This is the ballot box system that is for voter training. Obviously, voters who have voted for many years know how to do it, but there is always something new, one election is general and the other is municipal. We also brought it here for that young man, 16, 17 and 18 year olds, who are taking the title for the first time, can have their first contact with the ballot box and see how easy it is”, he added.

Pending issues affect day-to-day life

Voters who do not regularize their titles will have difficulties with other documents and day-to-day public services. They cannot, for example:

  • Obtain documents such as passport, identity card; in the case of passports, the prohibition does not apply to Brazilians who live abroad and need the document to return to the country;
  • Enter a public university or renew your enrollment in a higher education institution;
  • Take on commissioned or permanent positions (by passing a public competition);
  • Obtain a loan from public institutions.

According to legislation, anyone who does not vote in three consecutive elections, does not pay the fine for absence or does not justify it will have their title canceled.

To check whether the voter registration is in order or to change personal data, the voter does not even need to leave home, in most cases. The Superior Electoral Court (TSE) page offers services. Between them:

  • Monitor the request for a new document or regularization;
  • Update registration data and transfer the title to another municipality;
  • Include gender identity and social name;
  • Consult voting locations and the voter registration number, in addition to printing the document;

If it is necessary to resolve the issue in person, the system issues an alert and indicates the appropriate electoral registry for the procedure.

The Electoral Court warns that the request made over the internet, in itself, does not resolve the pending issues. It is necessary to present the required documents so that the information can be effectively analyzed and the issues can be resolved

Those who are voting for the first time in this year’s elections can also request the document. This group includes young people between 16 and 18 years old (optional voting) and over 18 years old (mandatory voting).

It is possible to obtain the document from the age of 15. The vote, however, can only be exercised if the person is 16 years old. For the first title, the young person must go to the electoral registry to collect biometrics.
