The owner, arrested last week, suspected of installing hidden camera in the bathroom of a house he rented, in Anápolis, Goiás, it was filmed by the equipment itself while carrying out supposed maintenance on the device.

The images, released by the Civil Police, are from the day February 8 this year and show the man, identified as Francismar Fernandes da Silva36 years old, adjusting the angle of the camcorder — pointed at the shower area.

In the recording, he appears messing with equipment, which also captured audio. In the background, you can hear the family dog ​​barking. The information is from the portal Uol.

Francismar owns the residence, which was rented to a family — made up of a 16 year old teenagerher mother, an aunt and her brother, a boy just 8 years old.

The Technical-Scientific Police of Goiás stated, according to the portal Uolwhich the camera recorded, transmitted in real time and stored the captured images in the bathroom. In total, it would have stayed installed for two weeks, the same period in which the family moved to the address.

To the Police, the victims reported that they believed that the suspect hid the equipment on the same day that he went to the residence under the pretext that he needed to remove an object from the place. At the time, he asked to use the bathroom, at which point, according to investigations, he allegedly installed the recorder in the socket.

The authority is investigating whether Francismar placed hidden cameras in other housesas he owns a solar energy company, which gives him access to the interior of several homes.

The Police carried out a search and seizure warrant at the suspect’s residence and seized electronic devices, which must be examined.

In a note to the portal CNNthe man’s defense states that, “until now”, he has not had access to the files that resulted in his client’s preventive arrest.

“The lack of access to relevant documents substantially compromises our ability to prepare an effective defense on behalf of our client. The fundamental right to full defense and contradictory proceedings is essential in a Democratic State governed by the rule of law, and we are committed to ensuring that these rights are fully respected. We call on the competent authorities to respect due legal process and ensure that all parties involved have equal access to the information necessary for fair and adequate action. At the time, the suspect’s representation also highlights that it is “committed to fully cooperating with the investigations, as long as we are given the opportunity to examine the elements that support the accusations against our client”.
