The two underage students who would be responsible for the constant attacks on student Carlos Teixeira, aged 13, at a state school in Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo, who died in a hospital days after a bullying session, would have been removed from the school. state for their families after the tragic episode gained national exposure. The statement was made by the victim’s family lawyer, Amanda Mesquita.

“As they are minors, they have all the protection of the ECA [Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente]so we cannot disclose images, names and everything else… But, what we know is that these two boys are no longer here in São Paulo, there are rumors that they have already gone to other states, that they they are no longer here”, said the lawyer during an interview with journalists Leonardo Sakamoto and Diego Sarza, in a live broadcast on the Uol portal.

Remember the case

A 13-year-old student at a state school in Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo, reportedly died a week after classmates threw themselves and hung on his back. The statement was made by Carlos Teixeira’s father, doorman Julisses Fleming, who was in fact a frequent target of bullying at the teaching unit.

According to him, on April 9th ​​the boy needed medical attention after the attack committed by his two schoolmates. He took him to a UPA (Emergency Care Unit) in Praia Grande, where the boy was treated and then released. In the same week, Fleming returned to the site twice more with his son Carlos, as he continued to have chest pain and difficulty breathing.

As his symptoms worsened, on Monday (15), his father took Carlos to the UPA in Santos. The doctor who attended to him immediately transferred him to a hospital at Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Santos, where the pre-teen was intubated. The following day, Tuesday (16), Carlos suffered three cardiorespiratory arrests and died.

“I feel finished and destroyed. My son was being bullied. My boy was in a state of panic the whole time,” Fleming told the g1 portal. The father reiterated that he was aware that the boy was being attacked quite frequently at the Professor Júlio Pardo Couto State School, which is located in the Nova Mirim neighborhood.

According to Carlos’ death certificate, the cause of death was a lung infection. Two doctors interviewed by g1, identified as Carlos Machado and Marcelo Bechara, explained that, in fact, injuries to the chest, spinal vertebrae and especially ribs, of traumatic origin, can cause injuries to the lung, which once punctured will cause difficulty respiratory, causing accumulation of secretion and fluid, which can quickly trigger an infection.

The case is in charge of the 1st Police District of Praia Grande, according to a statement issued by the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP), which also informed that the boy’s body will undergo a necroscopic examination to determine more specifically that o caused the death of the victim.
