Man is killed while providing service in Salvador

A 28-year-old man, identified as Rafael Silva, was shot dead this Tuesday morning (23), in the Tororó neighborhood, in Salvador. He was installing internet cables and separating work equipment at the place where he provided services, when he was shot.

According to Rafael Silva’s family, the victim was a worker, had been married for a year and had no involvement in crime.

This Tuesday, the cable installer had left his wife at the gym and worked as an app driver before being killed.

Witnesses said that the murder took place around 9:30 am, on Rua Amparo do Tororó. Three men arrived in a silver car, two of them got out of the vehicle, shot Rafael Silva several times and then fled.

Policing has been reinforced in the region and the Civil Police will analyze security cameras from establishments in the neighborhood to try to identify the perpetrators of the crime.

The case will be investigated by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP).
